Hudson County CLC and Middlesex-Somerset County CLC demonstrate organizational strength with union-to-union voter contact on behalf of approved primary candidates
The New Jersey State AFL-CIO greatly appreciates the Hudson County and Middlesex-Somerset County CLCs for staging massive labor marches to get Labor-endorsed candidates to vote.

In a show of strength for the labor movement, the Hudson County CLC put boots on the ground in support of Jimmy Davis as mayor of Bayonne and his council running mates in the May 10 nonpartisan municipal election. , as well as to elect Robert Menendez. to Congress in the June 7 primary elections.

Not to be outdone in Piscataway, the Middlesex-Somerset County CLC rallied union members to contact Piscataway voters to elect Frank Uhrin in Ward 1, Jim Bullard in Ward 2, Sharon Carmichael in Ward 3 and Michele Lombardi in Ward 4 on June 7. primary election.

Our political agenda continues to grow and change so that we can fight for working families in the most effective way possible. 197 union members came out today in solidarity with their union sisters and brothers to ensure that the united voice of workers is heard in this election. The outcome of the primary elections has more influence than ever on the outcome of the general elections. The Hudson County CLC and the Middlesex-Somerset County CLC are responding to this trend by leading the way and supporting their candidates approved earlier in the electoral process.
