ISM® Announces Winners of Inaugural Organizational Supply Chain Pioneers Awards

Supply Management Institute® recognizes 17 outstanding programs and initiatives in six categories

TEMPE, Arizona., September 30, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — ISM® announced the first winners of the ISM Supply Chain Trailblazer Awards, which honored 17 programs representing 15 organizations. This global awards program recognizes organizational programs, teams and initiatives that set new standards, exceed expectations and, among other things, help advance the profession of supply chain management.

A series of LinkedIn Live events hosted by ISM announced two categories per week starting on September 16 and concluded the September 30with representatives from the winning teams available to provide feedback and context on their projects.

The awards focus on six key areas where supply chain management adds value and makes a difference for businesses. The six categories and corresponding 2022 winning organizations are listed below.

Transformation — How an organization transformed its procurement/supply management function and the impact this has created.

Innovation — How an organization has used innovative practices to create opportunity, accelerate revenue, reduce costs, add value, create competitive advantage, or solve a pervasive problem.

Risk and crisis management — How a supply chain organization managed, mitigated and/or resolved risk issues, disruptions or crises.

Sustainability commitment — How an organization has demonstrated its commitment to some or all of the 11 principles of sustainability and social responsibility and/or ISM’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards, the process for doing so, and the results that have been obtained.

Thought Leadership game changers – How one company advanced the supply management profession through thought leadership and the significant impact that resulted.

Winner:

The winners will be celebrated at a gala and awards ceremony on Sunday, May 7, 2023in Vineyard, Texas. The gala celebration will be held alongside the ISM World 2023 annual conference.

The 2022 ISM Supply Chain Trailblazer Awards were open to global organizations of all sizes and from all industries. Organizations could submit to one or more categories; entries explain initiatives, strategies and accomplishments that have been implemented and/or initiated in the previous 12 months. A panel of executive judges reviewed the submissions and ranked them based on established criteria assessing process, initiative, engagement, impact, influence, and outcome or achievement.
