Lyon signs with the New York Yankees organization

FULLERTON, Calif. –Following the conclusion of the 2022 MLB Draft, Jackson Lyon signed an undrafted free agent contract with the New York Yankees organization on Monday afternoon.

Lyon had its best college season in 2022, finishing second on the team with a .328 batting average that ranked ninth in the Big West. He also tied for second on the team with 36 runs and tied for third on the team with 29 RBIs.

Lyon finished second on the team with seven home runs while recording 11 doubles and two triples and earned Big West honorable mention after the year. For his career, Lyon hit .299 with 58 runs and 46 RBIs.
