Program Officer – Organizational Learning Coordinator

The Program Officer-Organizational Learning Coordinator for CORE will join a fast-paced and dynamic team remotely, supporting emergency and disaster response programs nationally and internationally. This position will work closely with the Vice President of Programs and the Programs team to lead the organization of program information and reporting, knowledge and learning management, and the development of registration processes. and evaluation. Responsibilities:

  • Program support (regional level, 40% of the time)
  • Support field teams and regions with navigating HQ processes
  • Leads knowledge management for programmatic documents, including structure design, configuration and maintenance of files and folders
  • Represents the Programs Department at meetings to award new contracts as they are confirmed
  • Participates in field assessments as needed to understand local needs and inform programmatic plans
  • Program support (HQ level, 40% of the time)
  • Works closely with national leadership and team (President, VP of Programs and Director of Program Data) to coordinate and support cross-functional programs and initiatives
  • Collaborates with the Program Data Manager to synthesize relevant programmatic data with internal stakeholders
  • Works with the national team to develop, adapt and deploy program models and tools
  • Support the organization with a historical summary of the program and develop an understanding of past programs to guide new programs and initiatives
  • Transversal, collection of lessons (Organizational level, 20% of the time)
  • Consistent and regular communication of summarized program progress across the organization
  • Coordinates regular program team meetings across the organization
  • Organize and lead regular skills sharing meetings, technical working groups, etc.
  • Responsible for creating after action reports and program summaries

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5+ years of project management experience with an international development or humanitarian response organization
  • Knowledge of international development, emergency response, public health or community engagement programs
  • Very strong written/oral communication and organizational skills
  • Very strong coordination skills
  • Be comfortable leading/facilitating virtual (and in-person, if necessary) meetings with various stakeholders
  • Able to manage and multi-task, work productively in a fast-paced team environment with precision and attention to detail.
  • Fluency in English, written and oral.
  • Fluency in a second language, preferably French or Spanish, would be an asset.
  • Ability to demonstrate a professional and positive attitude, empathy and a strong work ethic
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time depending on organizational needs.
  • Advanced knowledge of word processing, Excel and database maintenance.
