Orlando, Fla., Jan. 07, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Sentry Management has been named one of Central Florida’s Top Philanthropic Organizations of 2021 by Orlando Business Journal for the second year in a row.
The OBJ ranked Sentry Management as the 7th philanthropic company in Central Florida based on volunteer hours, up from 10th place last year, and 19th based on charitable donations, down from 24th. Bradley Pomp, president of Sentry Management, attributes this recognition to Sentry’s core value, “embracing the honor of serving.” Pomp noted, “I’m incredibly proud of the Sentry team for stepping up and giving even more of their time and funds this year to help those in need. 2021 has been a tough year, and our employees have proven how much they appreciate the communities and neighborhoods we live in and serve. »
Sentry encourages employees to support Sentry-operated communities through the company-wide charity program known as “Giving SMILES”. The Giving SMILES program identifies deserving residents who have been impacted by tragic events such as fire, flood or other personal hardship and provides funding and assistance through company and employee matching donations.
In addition to Giving SMILES, Sentry employees contribute to local charities identified by the association’s board members. Sentry supports 100 local charities and causes in 17 states and raises more than $75,000 annually through events such as a charity golf tournament and as a national participant and Orlando Presenting Sponsor of the Jingle Bell Race of the Arthritis Foundation.
