Chinese internet giant Tencent’s Cloud and Smart Industries Group (CSIG) on July 12 announced the establishment of a government-enterprise business arm that will continue to deepen the company’s presence in areas of government affairs. , industry and operators, and to accelerate the implementation and application of digital in the real economy.

Sam Li is the president of the new government-enterprise business line, and he will be fully responsible for managing the industry team and regional business development. In May last year, TencentCSIG has identified three strategies: rooting in the industry, penetrating the regional market and improving efficiency. At the same time, he set up a business line of intelligent industry and service industry, introducing Sam Li, the former global senior vice president and general manager of SAP China, as head of its line of business.

A report from Jiemian News further pointed out that with this adjustment, the ninth intelligent industry was newly established, responsible for planning operator industries and related businesses and expanding major customers. It also cooperates with internal and external teams to promote the landing of products and solutions in operator industries and related fields, improving key indicators such as market share, revenue and profit. The relevant teams and personnel are transferred from the teams of the Industrial Ecological Cooperation Department.

With this adjustment, a cloud product technical support department has also been set up, responsible for helping with solution communication and in-depth support for cloud core products, promoting product system improvement and improve support efficiency. Affected teams and personnel are transitioning from regional solution platform teams.

Shen Ke will be transferred to serve as deputy general manager of the ninth intelligent industry, instead of serving as deputy general manager of the industrial ecological cooperation department. As department head, he will report to Sam Li, the company’s vice president. Li Zhe will be transferred to take the position of deputy general manager of the cloud product technical support department. As department head, he will report to Wang Huixing, head of cloud product research and development. Li Zhe will simultaneously serve as deputy general manager of the regional solution platform department and report to Sam Li.

Tencent said that last year, in order to work more closely with industry clients, CSIG set up exclusive teams in government affairs, industry, energy, real estate, cultural tourism and other subsectors. In the field of government affairs, Tencent The cloud has helped over 30 government departments, over 20 provinces, and over 500 cities and counties achieve digital transformation, providing nearly 3,000 e-government services to 1.1 billion people.

Next, CSIG will focus on providing services to small town and rural markets. In addition, it will further strengthen the strategic position and enhance the capabilities of independently developed products such as big data, security, TCE, TDSQL and TRTC, and improve market coverage.
