The Organization | CDP: Magical Musket goes to the VRAINS! with world heritage

These Fiends shoot from the hip.

Strategy Summary:

Welcome to today’s profile, showcasing the Magical Musket (MM) theme, a LIGHT Fiends archetype specializing in spell/trap activation. Kind of like the new runic fountain Field Spell, all monsters of the MM archetype allow you to activate all your MM spells/traps from the hand, without having to set them first. This archetype has a multitude of powerful tools in its arsenal, from Magic Matchlock – Last Standwhich can negate a Spell/Trap Card while you control an MM monster to Magic Musket – Desperado, which can destroy a face-up card on the field. But activating all of these Spells/Traps from the hand has a dual purpose: most MM monsters give you an additional effect if a Spell/Trap is activated in their column. For some examples, Magical Musketeer Starfire summon any other Level 4 or lower MM monster from your Deck and Magic Wild Musketeer recycle 3 MM cards in the Deck to draw a card! Altogether, this theme works overtime to prevent your opponent from developing a strong board, while furthering their own goals.

When initially released, this MM archetype had one glaring weakness: it struggled to overcome established boards because it simply couldn’t load enough resources to get through. Enter the best card of the archetype, their Bond 1, Magic Musketeer Max. Max can either add MM Spells/Traps up to the number of monsters your opponent controls, or Special Summon MM monsters from your deck, up to the number of Spells/Traps he controls. In other words, solving its effect has become essential, especially if you want to win duels. This is where the new spell comes in, In the TRUE! (YGOrg translation) This Normal Spell Special Summons a monster from your hand, then immediately performs a Link Summon using that Summoned monster, preventing your opponent from negating the Summon or activating any cards/effects in response. This gives you guaranteed maximum resolve if they can’t stop the spell, and you can even take the opportunity to pull a few extra MM spells/traps onto your opponent’s board, such as Magic Matchlock – Cross-Domination. Max is also why we use 3 copies of World Legacy Awakens, a normal trap that allows you to Link Summon Max, usually during the opponent’s turn, to make sure you have more than enough power. of fire MM to survive. The devil is in the details these days, so prepare them for the magic musketeers!
