TPO signs a cooperative MOU with a major Russian trade organization

TEHRAN – The Iranian Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the All-Russian Business Association “Delovaya Rossiya” (Business Russia) for cooperation aimed at facilitating trade between the two countries.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by TPO chief Alireza Peyman-Pak and Business Russia president Alexey Repik in an online ceremony, the TPO portal reported on Wednesday.

Russian Ambassador to Iran Levan Dzhagaryan and Reza Maleki, the representative of the Iranian Embassy to Russia, were also present at this virtual ceremony.

Speaking at the meeting, Peyman-Pak highlighted the good relations between businessmen and economic organizations of the two countries and said that establishing a partnership with major economic organizations such as Business Russia makes part of the priority programs pursued by the Iranian government in the commercial sector. .

Highlighting the positive relationship between Iranian companies and Business Russia, he added, “The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation between the Trade Promotion Organization and Business Russia will help regulate and develop collaborations between the two parties.” .

Repik in his speech said that the signing of this memorandum can play an effective role in developing trade relations between the two countries.

“Today’s meeting shows the confidence and determination of both countries to increase trade cooperation. In fact, the most important part and a key element of this memorandum is the creation of a business platform, which we hope will help the development of cooperation between Iranian and Russian companies,” the official said. .

Later in the meeting, Dzhagaryan highlighted the favorable economic cooperation between the two countries and announced that the signing of this memorandum will greatly contribute to increasing interactions and cooperation between small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) of the two countries.

Maleki, for his part, said that there are very good relations between the leaders of Iran and Russia, and said: “Last year, the visit of the President of Iran and also of the leader of the Trade Promotion Organization in Russia has created great dynamism in the private sectors of both countries.

He noted that during the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Iran and the meeting with the leader of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, detailed and constructive negotiations took place in order to expand relations between the two countries.

“In recent months, many senior Iranian officials have visited Russia, and the favorable negotiations between representatives of the two countries will certainly lay the foundation for expanding relations and cooperation in the future,” Maleki added.

The All-Russian Business Association “Delovaya Rossiya” (Business Russia) is an independent non-profit organization representing the interests of Russian SMEs, doing business mainly in non-profit sectors of the Russian economy.
